Description

This Android mobile application, in conjunction with the business card, offers you the opportunity to play, learn, and 3D-place a piano anywhere and anytime.

Tutorial

Upon printing the business card and launching the app, you have three options:

1) Take a glance at the front side. Here, you'll find a brief overview of what you can do and a miniature version of a 3D-placed piano.
2) By scanning the center of the business card, you gain access to play the piano. Currently, only one scale is available, but more may be added in future updates.
3) Flipping to the last page of the business card grants you the opportunity to learn something by starting the "Tutorial" and then returning to the center to play. Alternatively, you can watch professionals playing in a video.

Context

I developed this app as part of a mentoring module at the University of Lucerne. I had one semester as a time limit. Unfortunately, due to time constraints from other modules, I could only dedicate around 1.5 weeks to development.

Challenge

My objective was to explore various uses of Vuforia. I aimed not only to project objects but also to utilize them in diverse ways such as playing videos or playing a piano. To achieve this, I honed my Unity skills and acquired a wealth of new knowledge about Vuforia.

Evaluation

The mentors of the mentoring program assessed the final product with the grade "excellent." However, this might not mean much to you, so go ahead, get the app, and try it out for yourself!
